What are the Core British Values?
As part of the Prevent strategy Wiser Academy will be promoting the Core British Values to reflect life in modern Britain.
These values are Democracy, Rule of Law, Respect and Tolerance and Individual Liberty.
Core British Values underpin what it is to be a citizen in a modern and diverse Great Britain valuing our community and celebrating diversity of the UK.
Core British Values are not exclusive to being British and are shared by other democratic countries as a way of creating an orderly society, where individual members can feel safe, valued and can contribute for the good of themselves and others.

What is your duty?
Upholding British Values is about everybody accepting their responsibilities to uphold the values and standards which the Academy expects from all its apprentices and employees, insisting on appropriate standards of behavior and challenging anyone when their behavior falls short of those standards, ensuring that all members of the learning community are safe and encouraging everyone to appreciate the expected standards.
