A1 Assessor - Andover

Are you a qualified A1 Assessor or come from a Teaching background? Do you want to develop your career further within a fast growing organisation?

Due to continued growth Wiser Academy based in Andover are looking for a talented Assessor to join our dynamic team of driven individuals. Based on the successful candidate's experience the role will support and develop the Academy’s apprenticeships arm.

 

Reporting into the Head of the Academy, your role responsibilities will include:

·         To carry out effective initial assessment with all potential learners.

  • To conduct the sign-up meeting, preparing all appropriate paperwork

  • To review your learners’ progress at appropriate weekly intervals

  • To provide guidance and tuition on portfolio building at one to one meetings or in classroom time, including occupational units and functional skills exams

  • To assess your learners’ Work Based Evidence and portfolio work using Work Based Observations as far as possible

  • To co-ordinate appointments in a time efficient manner, combining reviews and Work Based Observations

  • To ensure learners’ outcomes are achieved on time

  • To plan and deliver appropriate training and coaching to PFS learners

  • To carry out any ad hoc assignments as requested

  • Evaluating programme achievement and requirements for change

  • Demonstrating behaviours and actions that encourage and support the company's values

  • Reviewing and updating the training documents where necessary

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have an A1 Assessor qualification and come from the insurance industry OR have previous training experience with an insurance background and we will get you trained & qualified as an A1 Assessor

  • Be an expert in motivating a group of learners to ensure maximum potential

  • Be able to demonstrate first class communication and presentation skills

  • Have excellent customer service skills and proven ability in building working relationships with a range of internal customers and stakeholders

  • Have Excellent IT skills

  • Possess strong organisational and forward planning ability

  • Level 2 functional skills delivery in Maths and English (GCSE C)

  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment

  • Possess a valid full UK drivers license, own transport and willing to travel to our client locations to deliver training, coaching and progress reviews and sign-ups.

 

Starting salary £23,000.00 to £25,000.00 (Depending on experience) - Full-time
